Rummage Sale At The Club House! July 19th-20th 9:30-2:30
We're a welcoming and diverse group of people who love all things gems, minerals and rocks.
Located on Franklin road off of Simpson Lane in Fort Bragg, MCGMS holds regular potluck dinner meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Our lapidary shop is open on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. The club also sponsors rock hounding field trips, does classroom presentations and hosts the annual Gem and Mineral Show at Fort Bragg Town Hall during Paul Bunyan Days every Labor Day weekend.
You can use this website to access our calendar of events, read the latest Mendo Coast Gems newsletter, and start the process of becoming a member of MCGMS.
Gary was so generous with his knowledge about rocks and minerals.
The board of directors is sad to announce the passing of Gary Markley on June 12th.
Gary had been battling Lymphoma and was feeling ill for the last sixth months. About a month before he passed Cassie, his daughter, brought him to stay at her home, so blessedly, his family got to spend time with him before he went.
